The Careers, Employability and Enterprise Centre is keen to engender positive links with other University staff and departments. Our remit brings us into contact with both academic and support departments. As a service we appreciate the significance of working effectively in partnership in order to develop and improve the support that we can offer to students and staff alike. Comments or suggestions in respect of working more effectively together can be directed to Catherine Richardson, Head of Service, or to the Careers Adviser attached to respective academic departments.

We currently work with University Staff in the following key areas:

* Dedicated Careers Adviser attached to individual academic departments and responsible for liaison with both the academic and administrative link. The dedicated adviser is responsible for the delivery of departmental talks to penultimate and final year students. Further departmental engagement can be arranged as necessary to support career development activities within the department.
* Input into any key skills programmes departments may run e.g. advice on interview skills, applications and CVs.
* Input into College career events. Enquiries to be directed to Darren Johnson, Careers Adviser with responsibility for college liaison. Also refer to 'Tips and Advice for Personal Tutors', which is available to download at the bottom of this page.
* Liaison meetings with other Service Departments to ensure effective understanding of purpose and referral procedures.
